Signs of Child Abuse and Neglect

Have you witnessed possible child abuse or neglect? Here are the top signs and behaviors to look for in kids and teens who have been abused or neglected:

What Happens After You Call?

What happens after you make a call to 844-CO-4-Kids? It starts with a trained call taker asking you a series of questions. Then a team of child welfare professionals review the call and decide if the case requires the involvement of a child protection team. A child’s safety is the main priority. Even if a caseworker does get involved, 70% of children remain in the home while their family gets the support they need.

Most calls don’t result in a caseworker visit – but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t call. We still may be able to help the family through a prevention program.
