Recruit Foster Families at the 2025 Pueblo Chile and Frijoles Festival.
The Colorado Department of Human Services will be sponsoring a recruitment booth at the 2025 Pueblo Chile & Frijoles Festival, September 19-21, 2025. Staff from counties, child placement agencies and nonprofit partners are invited to volunteer to distribute information about their foster care and adoption programs. Held downtown along Pueblo’s Union Avenue, the festival draws Pueblo residents as well as people from across the state and around the nation.
Volunteers will be able to hand out their information and giveaways as well as have a conversation with community members about foster care. CDHS will provide signage at the event, promotional items, and a tri-fold informative brochure. Organizations can add a sticker with their contact information to the brochure or bring their own promotional items to distribute. During the event, we will have a sign-up sheet where interested parties can sign up to get more information about foster care. Representatives from all organizations that attend will receive all the sign ups for the whole weekend.
