Fostering can be the most rewarding and most challenging work that you ever do. Seek support during the good times, so you have a network available during the tough times. Find a support group through the county or child placement agency that certified you. You can also find support groups and other resources through Raise the Future, the Colorado State Foster Parent Association, Foster Source, Fostering Great Ideas and Families Together.
CO4Kids Live: The Arena
The Colorado Department of Human Services has partnered with Foster Source to create an ongoing series of virtual panel discussions as a resource for foster parents. Each panel discussion features Colorado foster parents discussing a topic related to foster and offers participants and viewers an opportunity to connect, share real stories and struggles and proactively seek support.
