See You at the Capitol on April 3rd!
March 16, 2023

Join us April 3, 2023 for a Child Abuse Prevention Month kickoff event at the Colorado State Capitol in Denver. It's also Wear Blue Day, so help us celebrate the start of CAPM by wearing blue in support of growing a better tomorrow for all children, together.
April 3 at 9:00 am – Help raise awareness of family strengthening efforts with Illuminate Colorado. We will fill the galleries of the state legislative chambers as CAPM tributes are being read. Be sure to wear blue and join us in the West Foyer of the Colorado State Capitol – Illuminate will bring the pinwheels! If your organization is committed to promoting Pinwheels in the Chambers and has at least three of your team members RSVP and attend, you'll be recognized as an organizational sponsor! Email Lex Loutzenhiser at lloutzenhiser@illuminatecolorado.org if you are interested.
April 3 at 11:30 am – Child Abuse Prevention Month rally! The Colorado Department of Human Services is hosting a midday event at the Capitol West Steps to kick off Child Abuse Prevention Month, led by the Office of Children, Youth and Families.
Communities across the nation and Colorado are planting pinwheel gardens and wearing blue throughout the month of April as a sign of our collective commitment to prioritizing children and families. Join us in person at the Capitol on April 3, or live stream the rally on our Facebook page.
