Colorado is experiencing a shortage in foster parents. To support local efforts to recruit foster parents, use these materials to inspire your community members.

Family Support & Resources

English and Spanish full-color brochures with a list of resources and information for family and friends caring for children not their own, commonly referred to in the child welfare system as kinship families.

Adoption Recruitment

There are currently 288 children and teens in foster care waiting to be adopted. To support local efforts to find adoptive homes these youth, use these materials to inspire potential parents.

Child Abuse Reporting & Signs of Maltreatment

The first step in helping to end child abuse and neglect in Colorado is learning to recognize the signs of child abuse and neglect. Help educate and encourage Coloradans to report any and all concerns about the well-being of a child or teen.

Mandatory Reporting

More than 40 categories of professionals are required by law to report suspected child abuse and neglect in Colorado. Employers and professional associations are encouraged to use these resources to educate your networks. 

Human Trafficking

Child sex trafficking has been reported in all 50 states, including in Colorado. Use these materials to educate others. 

Early Adversity & Toxic Stress in Children

Partners across the state are using these resources to leverage their work with consistent messaging when discussing early childhood development, adversity, and toxic stress to keep shifting social norms toward positive social change for family and child well-being in Colorado. The Message Bank also includes examples of materials other partners have used. 

Social Media

Infographics, memes and images associated with the campaign are readily available for partners to download, embed or share via social media.
