Juneteenth Music Festival

The Colorado Department of Human Services is sponsoring a foster care and adoption recruitment booth at the Denver Juneteenth Music Festival, June 15-16, 2024 on Welton Street in Five Points. Juneteenth is an annual holiday commemorating the emancipation of slaves in the United States. Denver’s Juneteenth Music Festival is one of the nation’s largest celebrations of Juneteenth. Volunteers will be able to hand out their information and giveaways as well as have a conversation with community members about foster care and adoption. CDHS will provide signage at the event and a tri-fold informative brochure. Organizations can add a sticker with their contact information to the brochure or bring their own promotional items to distribute. During the event, we will have QR codes to direct interested parties to provide their information on the inquiry form. Volunteers can also bring a sign-up sheet for their organization. Representatives from all organizations that attend will receive all the inquiry forms the whole weekend.

If your organization would like to drop off materials to be distributed prior to the events, please coordinate with Adrienne Baxter adrienne.baxter@state.co.us
