New Family First Website Launches

A family laughs together on their couch. On top, text reads: Family First in Colorado.

The Office of Children, Youth and Families has launched a new website for Family First resources. This website, cofamilyfirst.org, is a one-stop resource for providers and community members to find up-to-date information on Family First. This website was developed to improve support for Colorado’s children, youth, and families in finding treatment that is best matched to their specific clinical needs.

  • For those who are seeking information on Family First specific to Colorado, the new domain name, cofamilyfirst.org, makes the site it easier to find.

  • For those seeking more intensive treatment and resources to match the specific needs of children or youth, the new live Provider Services Agency/Facility Directory is equipped with an interactive map. This user-friendly feature will empower you to find treatment providers easily and quickly, putting you in control of your search. There are also step-by-step instructions on how to navigate the directory.
  • The Resources, Forms, and Trainings tab has an enhanced search feature for finding specific library items related to Family First. This feature can be used to find topic-specific items.
  • Providers can also provide more information to highlight their treatment specialties and update their specialties using this form.
  • More resources are currently in development (coming soon):
    • CDHS will provide a similar directory for families to find Prevention Services available in their area (expected late summer or fall of this year).
    • Family-friendly news and interest items will be made available throughout the page to support families in connecting with their communities and strengthening their families.
  • Please have fun exploring the new website and send any feedback or information on needed updates to Jon.Steinmetz@state.co.us
