Nominate a Family for National Adoption Month 2025<\/h1><\/div>\n\n\n\n

In preparation for National Adoption Month in November, the Colorado Department of Human Services (CDHS) is asking individuals, counties, child placement agencies (CPAs) and tribes to recognize dedicated adoptive parents and adoptive kinship caregivers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every year during National Adoption Care Month, CDHS recognizes adoptive families from throughout Colorado. CDHS also develops marketing materials, social media memes, and does media outreach to share each family\u2019s story and inspire others to get involved. These resources are also shared with counties and CPAs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To be considered adoptive parents or kinship caregivers must be have adopted in Colorado and currently live in Colorado. All nominations are welcome and encouraged. Research shows that the most effective way to recruit new foster and adoptive families is to share the stories and experiences of other families similar to them.
