Training Opportunity: Motivating Positive Outcomes With Adolescents - April 13 in Denver

This one-day training expands on the basic content discussed in The Adolescent 411, a pre-requisite to this training. We all acknowledge that adolescents can be challenging, even on the best of days. The goal of this training is to help you promote positive outcomes by increasing your understanding why an adolescent is “behaving” in a specific way and how you can effectively work with adolescents, their families, and their community. Upon completion, you will be prepared to

  • build rapport with resistant adolescents;
  • understand the purpose behind problematic behaviors;
  • develop skills to effectively intervene with adolescents; and,
  • identify barriers to permanency so that you can engage teens in permanency planning.

Target audience for this training: caseworkers, case aides, foster parents, and other child welfare professionals
