Save The Date: Feedback on Colorado Family First Prevention Plan

February 10, 2020

Under the Family First Prevention Services Act (Family First), states will receive a 50% federal match for prevention services that keep families together safely and prevent children and youth from entering foster care. All services must be evidence-based and trauma-informed, and states are responsible for engaging in fidelity monitoring and continuous quality improvement (CQI) processes. States must submit a Prevention Services Plan to the Children’s Bureau in order to receive federal reimbursement for services.

The Colorado Department of Human Services has been working collaboratively with counties, partners, service providers, constituents and sister agencies to develop Colorado's Prevention Services Plan with the intention to submit the plan to the Children's Bureau at the end of February 2020.

Please save the date for a stakeholder feedback session.
