Release 6 will occur on May 31, 2020. Here’s how to prepare!
May 26, 2020
With less than a week until the new Family First system functionality is released, it’s time to get ready for Trails Modernization Release 6.
What should you do now?
Make sure you know where to find training materials.
Make sure you know who to turn to if you have questions or run into issues with the Modernized Trails functionality.
What’s changing with Release 6?
Starting with this release, certain Trails users will be prompted to complete IV-E Candidacy Determination checklists when opening/ending a removal, when creating a treatment plan and at 90-day reviews.
In addition, functionality related to evidence-based services (EBS) and Qualified Residential Treatment Programs (QRTPs) will also be added.
What is IV-E Candidacy?
The document that describes the State of Colorado’s Family First IV-E candidacy definition and clarification questions can be found here.
Where can you find training materials?
On May 20, job aids will be available online to download from the Colorado CWTS website: https://www.coloradocwts.com/trails-resource/trails-modernization. Job aids provide step-by-step instructions with accompanying screenshots to perform a specific action in Trails, such as “How to add a provider.”
Who can you turn to for help?
You should first try reaching out to your superuser for help, especially if you encounter a question or issue that is not covered by any training materials or job aids.
