Public feedback needed on rules impacting older youth

The Colorado Department of Human Services Division of Child Welfare is proposing revisions to the Independent Living Planning, Services, Chafee, Education and Training Vouchers rules, located in Section 7.000, 7.200, 7.300, and 7.400. The public is invited to participate in the following opportunities to provide feedback via scheduled virtual meetings. 

Download a draft of the proposed rules prior to the teleconferences. These rules are scheduled to be effective by December 1, 2020.

The purpose of the proposed rule changes is to clarify, streamline and add rules to address statute and policy requirements. The following changes are proposed:

  • Update the language and align with title IV-E of the Social Security Act.
  • Integrate eligibility allowed by the Family First Prevention Services Act (FFPSA).

Teleconferences are scheduled for

  • Tuesday, September 1, 2020, from 1-2 p.m.
  • Thursday, September 3, 2020, from 9-10 a.m.
