Early childhood data added to Statewide Youth Development Plan Dashboard

September 21, 2020

New data is available through the Colorado Statewide Youth Development Plan Dashboard. The SYDP Dashboard was designed with two goals: support and encourage funding alignment for Colorado's youth systems and support local communities in accessing key data points. Colorado’s youth-serving organizations can use the heat map to better coordinate services, understand gaps in service, and develop a clearer picture of what’s happening in their communities.

This highly visual tool unifies key indicators about risk and protective factors and youth outcomes in one place.

The update features:

  • a new early childhood dashboard that identifies indicators of social determinants of health impacting family and childhood success.
  • additional indicators for the youth-specific dashboard highlighting youth risks and protective factors for youth age 9-21.
  • an aggregated view to quickly assess how each county performs against all risk and protective factors at once. The map shows the number of times each county fell within the most at risk 25% or “focus zone” statewide.

The project is the result of a collaboration between the Tony Grampsas Youth Services (TGYS) program and SYDP.
