PRANs under 18 public listening sessions

Group of Adults sitting in a circle discussing PRANS session.

The Colorado Department of Human Services’ Division of Child Welfare is updating Volume 7 administrative rule to change who can be identified as a Person Responsible for Abuse and/or Neglect (PRAN) within an intake assessment. The purpose of these additions and revisions of rule is to create consistency around when a person under the age of 18 years old should be identified as a person responsible for abuse or neglect for the purpose of assessment and to serve this population more equitably.

The proposed rule also includes a strikethrough of the revision history of Volume 7 which is readily available and archived on the Colorado Secretary of State website. View the PRANs Under 18 Rule Revision Crosswalk.

Pubic comment/listening sessions will be held on March 31st and April 4th.
