County and CPA survey on foster parents as support to families

August 22, 2022

As part of the Annual Progress and Services Review (APSR), there is an action item regarding foster care. As part of the action item, Jeannie Berzinskas and Mary Griffin are gathering preliminary information about county and child placement agency (CPA) practice which focuses specifically on how foster parents support the parents of the children/youth they serve.

Three brief anonymous surveys were developed to gather organizational perspectives on this practice from counties, CPAs, and foster parents. As a first step, our request is for supervisors (i.e. ongoing, permanency, resource, etc.) to distribute the surveys to their staff. There is no limit to the number of respondents per county.

The information provided from the surveys will inform several virtual feedback sessions in 2022 and 2023 along with additional information obtained about practices and policies that can be shared and/or replicated.

CPAs, please respond to this survey.

Counties, please respond to this survey.

Foster parents are encouraged to take the Foster Parents as Supports to Families Survey.
