Child Sexual Abuse Prevention Conference held by The Colorado School Safety Resource Center

The Colorado School Safety Resource Center is pleased to offer its annual Child Sexual Abuse Prevention Conference during April Child Abuse Prevention Month this year. With all eyes on blue pinwheels and all minds on better methods to protect children, they thought it seemed appropriate to move the event to April! Join them on April 12th at the Lowry Conference Center.

FBI Specialist Whitney Orndorff and Analyst Derek Ladd will help educators and administrators support federal investigations of child exploitation and educate students on the risks of social media. They will present a captivating case study from a local district which resulted in a multiple-count conviction.

Community partner experts from Illuminate Colorado, Blue Sky Bridge, the Division of Criminal Justice and the Colorado Department of Education will present on prevention topics of interest to educators and parents alike. Overcoming barriers to prevention, how to be a trusted adult, human trafficking in Colorado schools, and Title IX for K-12 round out the breakout sessions.

A highlight of the day will be a dramatic and interactive presentation on teen dating violence by Casa Milagro during the catered lunch. A light breakfast is also included in your registration fee of $50. Join their dynamic prevention team for a day of information and networking! The registration link is under Community/Events HERE.
