Upcoming Child Welfare Training Course Offerings

Enhancing Practice through Group Supervision 2.24.17:              

This one-day training will provide you with the additional skills you need to effectively prepare for and participate in group supervision. We’ll examine the importance of rigorous and balanced assessments, and you’ll explore how the Consultation and Information Sharing Framework can enhance your critical thinking, how you can develop effective Risk and Goal Statements, and how group supervision can be a tool for overcoming obstacles to engaging families.

Crucial Skills for Interviewing 3.1-3.3.17:

This three-part course develops interviewing techniques, which enables your facilitation of engaging interviews. Building directly on your Practice Simulation experience from the Caseworker Fundamentals Series, this course expands your individual growth and development.

*Please note this is a hybrid course and contains three essential parts to be completed over the course of a few weeks.  Participants are also required to have completed the Fundamentals Practice Simulation. 

Diligent Recruitment for Foster and Adoptive Families 3.8.17:

This half-day course provides an overview of recruitment/retention strategies, data, and requirements related to the creation of a diligent recruitment plan.
