Feedback Opportunity - Revisions to Resources, Reimbursement, Reporting and Provider Requirements

The Colorado Department of Human Services Division of Child Welfare is proposing revisions to the rules for Resources, Reimbursement, Reporting and Provider Requirements, located in Section 7.400. We invite you to participate in the following opportunities to provide feedback via scheduled teleconferences.

These rules are scheduled to be effective by December 1, 2019.

The purpose of the proposed rule changes is to clarify, streamline, and add rules to address statute and policy requirements.  The following changes are proposed:

  • Revise rules for the methodology by which counties may negotiate rates and services with out-of-home care providers.
  • Create rules for the placement of children/youth into the IDD Facility (Calabrese Youth Center) serving children/youth with intellectual and developmental disabilities to include referral process, eligibility criteria, admissions, duration of treatment, discharge, an appeals process for eligibility, and reimbursement to county departments for payments made to the IDD Facility.
  • Create rules for how the Child Welfare Prevention and Intervention Services Cash Fund shall be allocated.
