Are you interested in developing shared messages about protective factors and child abuse prevention?

March 1, 2019

The Early Childhood Colorado Partnership’s Shared Message Bank team will be updating its Shared Message Bank in the coming months, and they’re interested in obtaining your input and feedback. The team will plan to add messages related to:

  • Concrete supports and social connections as protective factors
  • Child abuse and neglect prevention

These messages will fit within the previously defined framing of the Shared Message Bank, as guided by research from The Frameworks Institute.

Are you interested in:

  • Participating – in-person or via web conference – in three 1.5-hour meetings between late March and early June
  • Reviewing and providing feedback on the initial draft messages, as well as a revised version based on your feedback
  • Sharing the draft messages with selected individuals/organizations in your communities to get their input/buy-in

The first of these meetings will take place at the end of March/beginning of April. It will serve as a kick-off meeting during which we will review the project process and timeline and determine the above-mentioned individuals/organizations who should be included in the message vetting process. It will also serve as an opportunity for you to share any collateral material you think might be relevant for us to consider as we draft the new messages.

The second meeting will take place approximately one month later (early May). You will be provided with an initial draft of the new messages at least one week prior to this meeting. We’d like you to come to the meeting ready to discuss your feedback, including any suggested edits.

The final meeting will take place in late May (approximately three weeks later). Again, we’ll provide a draft of the revised messages to you in advance so that you can share this version of the messages within your communities/networks for their vetting/input. We’ll invite you to share that feedback during this third meeting.

If you are interested in lending your support to this effort, we’d love to have your input! Please take a moment to complete this Google Form indicating your interest and preferred timing (days, time of day) for meetings. Please respond by no later than 5 p.m. next Tuesday, March 5. We’ll then schedule the meetings around what seems to work best for the majority of individuals.
